Book Spotlight Just for Cat Lovers: Cats Are Part of His Kingdom, Too by Cindy Vincent

Image
Cats Are Part of His Kingdom, Too by Cindy Vincent As Christians, sometimes it’s hard for us to comprehend the love our Heavenly Father has for us, His Earthly children. Author Cindy Vincent began to realize the depth of His love after caring for several rescued cats and then bringing them into her home. That’s when she began to notice the parallels between her relationship with these precious felines and God’s relationship with us. After all, as a pet Mom, she works in so many behind-the-scenes ways to make life wonderful for her little feline family, much like God works behind the scenes to make life wonderful for us. Yet much like her cats have no comprehension of all that she does for them, we have no comprehension of all that God does for us. Before long, she began to see lots of parallels, and decided to put these down in the form of Daily Devotions, to demonstrate just how very much God loves us. Purchase the Kindle ebook on Amazon (The book will be free for Kindle May...

TLC Book Tour: Who-ology: Doctor Who, The Official Miscellany by Cavan Scott & Mark Wright

Photo from Facebook, Doctor Who and the TARDIS Who-ology Doctor Who: The Official Miscellany by Cavan Scott & Mark Wright Copyright 2013 BBC Books ISBN: 9781849906197 If there's one thing in the entertainment world I love more than Doctor Who I've yet to find it. I would have never have guessed that a boring night of channel surfing nine years ago would have led to the love affair that I have with the Doctor Who series . Since discovering the series in 2005, I haven't missed watching an episode and have even went back in the archives to watch the Classic Doctor Who that originally aired in 1963. With 50 years of rich history it's easy to find something Who related even if you aren't near a TV. There are board games, video games, action figures, t-shirts -- and books! Yes! I mentioned the 'B' word! There are tons of books to keep a Whovian entertained for ages. With the 50th anniversary coming in November the BBC is re-releasing a set o...

Nonfiction Review: Road Racing, Drivers of the 60's and 70's by Linda Weldon

Image
Road Racing: Drivers of the 60's and 70's by Linda Weldon Copyright 2010 98 pages From Goodreads: This book is a compilation of pictures taken at a time when photographers were able to get very close to the action. Using a Nikon camera with various telephoto lenses. Tri-X and Plus-X film was utilized. Each shot had to count, so very little color was used. Hopefully, these pictures will bring back many exciting memories from this era of Road Racing of the 60′s and 70′s. My Review: You may not know it but I am a huge car nut and have been since I could talk. While I didn't grow up with a wrench in my hand I've always had an appreciation for the style and freedom that is offered by the automobile. The 60s and 70s were the peak of the "muscle car" era with some of the greatest cars ever produced being built, driven and raced everyday across American on the road, the track and at the drag strip. With a dad who grew up during the midst of the pony car wars it was na...
