Here We Go Steelers!!

Today is the first Steelers playoff game of the season against the Denver Broncos. I thought it was only fitting to celebrate by paying tribute to the late, great Myron Cope. Myron was the radio voice of all things black 'n gold for decades and the sports broadcaster for Channel 4 news here in the 'Burgh. Check out this cool video of his parody of "Deck the Halls" aptly titled, "Deck the Broncos" made in 1984. Gotta love Myron. :)

Go Steelers!!!!!

  1. I am not a football fan, so I really don't care about the playoffs, but... I am kind of for Denver...

    Sorry, Rene! ;D

  2. Alas! My book blogging kindred spirit - we are on opposing sides of the gridiron today!

I'm a Denver girl, because I've been a Tebow girl since the first time I saw him take the field for my beloved Gators. I'm wearing a Tebow jersey right now. I'm hoping beyond hope we'll win the Wildcard round against Pittsburg. :o)

No hard feelings, but...Go Broncs! ;o)

  3. Colletta! My Pittsburgh sports gal! Go team!

Rebecca and Rissi- I think next week is going to be harder for you guys since NE is ALWAYS tough in the playoffs. Good luck!

  4. Good game - y'all kept it intense. I literally screamed myself hoarse on that one, glorious, OT play...but amazing game! And yeah, already bracing for next week - here's hoping for the miracle! :o)

  5. I'm definitely a Bronco fan... Tebow all the way!
Great game, but you can't stop the mile high magic and Tebow's prayers! :)

  6. Sorry about tonight, girl! I know how big a Steeler fan you are. I was for the Bronco's...but only cuz of Tim Tebow, lol. Since my brother is a big Gator's fan, I've heard tons about Tebow from the very beginning, so naturally cheered for him tonight. :-)

  7. Ha! I totally agree with you, Rene - next week could be nothing but a disaster. New England will likely dominate... still, must be positive, right??

Sorry that your Steelers didn't make it, girl. =)

  8. Awww thanks everybody for your love. I was sad for a bit but then I remembered we already have 6 Super Bowl wins so we can't be selfish. :-P

    XOXO~ Renee
