About the Book:
Seth Kincaid survived a fire in a cave, but he hasn't been the same since. Then he fought in the Civil War and returned to Colorado crazier than ever.

Somewhere along the line, it appears Seth got married. Oh, he has a lot of excuses, but his wife isn't too happy to find out Seth doesn't remember her. Callie isn't a long-suffering woman. When Seth disappeared, she searched, prayed, and worried. Now she's come out west to wrangle her long-lost husband.

Seth is willing to make amends. Callie is more interested in shooting him. Can they rekindle their love before one of them goes over the edge?

My Thoughts:
If you're looking for fun and adventure look no farther than a Mary Connealy novel. Almost every single book she writes contains a few scenes that will leave you in stitches. Chances are the book also involves a hard-headed man, a spirited heroine, and stitches of the surgical variety. Over the Edge wasn't quite as light-hearted as most of Ms. Connealy's other westerns but somebody did end up with stitches.

Over the Edge is the last story of the Kincaid trilogy and I have to say it ended on a high note. Callie Kincaid, is as saucy a heroine as you'll find in a western romance and Seth Kincaid is more nuts than a bucket of bolts but he grows on you. The characters were all likable even the youngest of the Kincaid brothers and the villain wasn't quite as bad as all that. Sometimes when reading romance characters tend to be very good or very bad with no in between so it was kind if nice to meet a "bad guy" who I wasn't really sure was going to end up being a bad guy.

Other than loving the characters the plot was just okay. The story was a bit unbelievable. If I had found diamonds that were allegedly stolen and as such were a threat to my family's well-being I'd get those rocks to the law ASAP and I'd certainly make sure I kept my eyes on the map to where they were hidden in a safe place. All in all I still liked this book and it definitely improved my opinion of the series as a whole and if you're looking for a clean, quick, somewhat humorous read this is probably a great choice for you!
