Two Special Contests from Julie Lessman

If you're like me you're a huge fan of Christian romance writer Julie Lessman and you know what a sweetie pie she is if you've had the chance to chat with her. Not only is she a super friendly gal who writes great books but she always runs the most fun contests on her website. This time she has not one but two great contests going on, one for a chance to win a Kindle Fire (or equivalent giftcard), the second for a chance to get a character in an upcoming book named after you! Suh-weeeet, right?! She's holding these contests to celebrate the release of two new books. I don't know about you but that's like Christmas for this reader.

I've posted some of the details on each of the books below and if you're interested in the contests the link for all the rules so you can make sure you're doing it right!

First the details on the A Light in the Window...

One Woman. Two Men.
One stirs her pulse and the other her faith.
But who will win her heart?

Marceline Murphy is a gentle beauty with a well-founded aversion to rogues. But when two of Boston's most notorious pursue her, she encounters a tug-of-war of the heart she isn’t expecting. Sam O’Rourke is the childhood hero she’s pined for, the brother of her best friend and a member of the large, boisterous family to which she longs to be a part. So when his best friend Patrick O’Connor joins in pursuit of her affections, the choice seems all too clear. Sam is from a family of faith and Patrick is not, two rogues whose wild ways clash head-on with Marcy’s—both in her faith and in her heart.

While overseeing the Christmas play fundraiser for the St. Mary’s parish soup kitchen—A Light in the Window—Marcy not only wrestles with her attraction to both men, but with her concern for their spiritual welfare. The play is based on the Irish custom of placing a candle in the window on Christmas Eve to welcome the Holy Family, and for Marcy, its message becomes deeply personal. Her grandmother Mima cautions her to guard her heart for the type of man who will respond to the "light in the window," meaning the message of Christ in her heart. But when disaster strikes during the play, Marcy is destined to discover the truth of the play’s message first-hand when it becomes clear that although two men have professed their undying love, only one has truly responded to “the light in the window.”

The Details on Love at Any Cost...

Jilted by a fortune hunter, cowgirl Cassidy McClare is a spunky Texas oil heiress without a fortune who would just as soon hogtie a man as look at him. Hoping a summer visit with her wealthy cousins in San Francisco will help her forget her heartache, Cassidy travels west. But no sooner is she settled in beautiful California than Jamie McKenna, a handsome pauper looking to marry well, captures her heart. When Jamie discovers the woman he loves is poorer than he is, Cassidy finds herself bucked by love a second time. Will Jamie discover that money can't buy love after all? And can Cassidy ever learn to fully trust her heart to a man?

With delectable descriptions and a romantic sensibility, bestselling author Julie Lessman brings the Gilded Age to life in this sumptuous new series. Readers will faithfully follow Lessman to the West Coast for more romance, passion, and surprising revelations found in Love at Any Cost.

Happy Reading!

  1. Renee, these both sound very good!

  2. Cannot wait to read Julie's upcoming novel because it is such a break from what we are used to seeing from her - roaring twenties and depression era. Lovin' A Love Surrendered so Love at Any Cost is a must read. :-)
