The Story:

My Thoughts:

I've been on a reading kick lately thanks to having read a bunch of fabulous stories in the Christian fiction genre. Becky Wade's contemporary romances have always been a pleasure to read and while not my absolute favorite, A Love Like Ours was worth the late night! The complexity of each character and the raw emotion that emanates from the page kept me up well into the night. I prefer my stories to be a little less overt when it comes to the evangelizing, but this still made for a good addition to the Porter Family series. It hits pretty heavily on the topic of PTSD which is always so interesting to read about since it is so prevalent in society today and there isn't a set treatment or cure. The romance itself was sweet. Childhood sweetheart and romances that grow between old friends are some of my favorites to read and A Love Like Ours does not disappoint on that front. I really liked this quick read in spite of feeling a little preached at. If you like stories with heavy Christian themes, this should not disappoint you!
