Teaser Tuesday!
MizB @ Should Be Reading hosts Teaser Tuesday every week at her blog! This gives everyone the opportunity to share a few lines from a new book they're reading or one of their old favorites.
Here are the rules for Teaser Tuesday!
1. Grab your current read.
2. Let the book fall open to a random page.
3. Share two teaser sentences from that page, somewhere between lines 7 and 12.
4. Share the title of the book that the “teaser” comes from, so people can find the book if they like the teaser.
5. PLEASE avoid spoilers!!!!!
This week I chose to take my teaser from In the Shadow of the Sun King, Book 1 in the A Darkness to Light series. This novel centers around France in the 17th century and the persecution of French Protestants, particularly the Clavell family.

Teaser from page 195:
"Francois watched Louis' face redden with rage, but he continued, 'Your majesty, you say you still care for Madeleine. Do what you will to me, but spare her and our children. For her sake. Because of the love that you once shared.'"
That sounds like an interesting book! The book my teaser is from is also set in France, but during Napoleon's reign: http://abookblogofonesown.blogspot.com/2009/11/chapter-25-teaser-tuesday-17112009.html
