Creativity, Who Has It?
Ahhh don't you love people who can make the most interesting things seemingly from nothing at all? Well unfortunately I don't have the knack for creating from scratch, at times it's even hard for me to come up with creative and interesting blog posts believe it or not! I have a respect for people who can turn trash into treasure! My mom is one of those people who can turn everyday, mundane objects into cool stuff. She just made a set of curtains from 3 pillowcases!! She couldn't find the right curtains at the store but she did find some pretty pillowcases so voila!
Yeah thanks mom for not passing on your talent to your dear daughter. :-P
Well since I can't come up with fun ideas on my own check out this cool project that I found in this week's Relish magazine. I think I'm going to give these a try they look quick and easy and are made from stuff that I already have lying around the house!

ReplyDeleteI hear ya on not having a knack for crafty things -- I'm exactly the same! 2 of my younger sisters have double the crafty talents because Whitney & I have pretty much zip. LOL
*hugs*
Awww, those are cute!! Oh, to have some free time to craft...I've had zilch lately! :o(
ReplyDeleteThey look great! I will need to check out Relish magazine. Thanks for the link.
ReplyDeleteRenee, I often pop in on your site and have noticed your entertaining comments on other blogs. Do you mind if I put your button on the sidebar of my site? . . . Let me know!
ReplyDeleteMy dad said he had a ton of empty coffee cans at work so guess what I'll be using to make my lanterns? Hahaha! If any of you decide to give this a try let me know how they turn out!
ReplyDeleteRenee sure you can grab my button! I'll grab yours too! :-)
XOXO~ Renee
What a cute little project. I once tried to make little tin can lanterns at school with 2nd graders. We froze water in a tin can then used nails to pound holes in the side. We used a wire coat hanger as the handle.
ReplyDeleteSeveral kids smashed their thumbs with the hammer. :/ (but the lanterns were adorable!)
LOL Joy I was probably around the smae age when I made a lantern similar to these. I haven't been brave enough to try again till now! Wish me luck! :-P
