Creativity, Who Has It?

Ahhh don't you love people who can make the most interesting things seemingly from nothing at all? Well unfortunately I don't have the knack for creating from scratch, at times it's even hard for me to come up with creative and interesting blog posts believe it or not! I have a respect for people who can turn trash into treasure! My mom is one of those people who can turn everyday, mundane objects into cool stuff. She just made a set of curtains from 3 pillowcases!! She couldn't find the right curtains at the store but she did find some pretty pillowcases so voila!

Yeah thanks mom for not passing on your talent to your dear daughter. :-P

Well since I can't come up with fun ideas on my own check out this cool project that I found in this week's Relish magazine. I think I'm going to give these a try they look quick and easy and are made from stuff that I already have lying around the house!

If you think you would like to give them try click the following link for instructions:

  1. CUTE!

I hear ya on not having a knack for crafty things -- I'm exactly the same! 2 of my younger sisters have double the crafty talents because Whitney & I have pretty much zip. LOL

    *hugs*

  5. My dad said he had a ton of empty coffee cans at work so guess what I'll be using to make my lanterns? Hahaha! If any of you decide to give this a try let me know how they turn out!

Renee sure you can grab my button! I'll grab yours too! :-)

  6. What a cute little project. I once tried to make little tin can lanterns at school with 2nd graders. We froze water in a tin can then used nails to pound holes in the side. We used a wire coat hanger as the handle.

Several kids smashed their thumbs with the hammer. :/ (but the lanterns were adorable!)
