Pardon the Dust & A Cover Reveal!!!

Howdy! First off, let me apologize for the dust. I'm currently in the process of updating and redesigning the look of my blog. I'm SO picky about getting just the right look so the process may take a few days. The current look is not final. I changed the template at least 5 times yesterday, so please bear with me. If you have any hints and tips for using HTML or finding a terrific template, please share them with me in the comment section. Thanks to tips I've already received from fellow bloggers (here's looking at you Rissi!) I think this blog will eventually look even better than it did!

Whhhew! Now that I got that out of the way, on to the fun stuff!

My friend and fellow blogger, Amber Stokes has made the leap from book blogger to author this past summer! Her debut novel, Bleeding Heart was one of the best e-books (now available in paperback too!) that I've read all year. If you know me at all, it's hard for me to wait the usual year between books in a series. I'm pleased to say that if you're a Bleeding Heart fan like me, we won't have to wait a year!!! Yay! The prequel entitled, Forget Me Not, is on it's way early next year. I'm so pleased to be a part of the cover reveal for what I'm sure will be another stellar book from Amber. So check it out below, and leave your thoughts for Amber. :-) I don't know about you but I'm lovin' it! I love the pop of color of the Forget Me Nots against the white of her dress. So pretty!

About the book:
Old hurts, new betrayals, and a love that survives them all...

Summer 1885
A startling revelation sends Elizabeth Lawson escaping into a stormy night - and tosses her into the arms of a young mountain man with secrets of his own. When he offers to take her to the Nevada mining town where her long-lost brother lives, she accepts. Suspicions and uncertainties are pushed aside as she struggles to forge a future for herself by meeting her past.

David has been hiding from his painful memories for years. The solitude and wildness of the Rocky Mountains are challenge and comfort enough for him - until Elizabeth's arrival. Fueled by anger and a sense of obligation, he strives to take control of his new situation...only to find control slipping from his grasp with each new emotion Elizabeth evokes in him.

When their journey leads them on unexpected paths, can two lonely hearts find the strength to remember the good amid the heartbreak? Inspirational Historical Romance

  1. Renee!! I really appreciate the sweet encouragement regarding my books - thank you so much, my friend! :)

Your blog is lookin' good! Isn't it crazy how time-consuming changing things up can be, though? I hope you find just the right look that you'll love. :)

  2. Congrats to Amber on another awesome cover! And good luck with your "renovation" project. ;-) When it is finished, let us know what design you decided on and where you sourced it (since I read through Feedly...I don't always click through!)...I've been thinking I need to shake things up but the thought of DOING it keeps me putting it off. ;-)

  3. Hi Ruth! I'm not through with the design quite yet but hope to be soon! If you decide you're brave enough to shake things up, I suggest doing it when you have at least a few hours of free time to devote to it, especially if you're as picky as I am!

  4. Renee, I wouldn't describe your blog as dust. Not anywhere close. :)

And isn't it great that we really don't have to wait a year? I'm so excited for Amber and I can't wait to read this book. Spoke about the color on my post too.

Aw, Renee, you're blog is loookin' good. No need to apologize for anything. Hope you can find something you're happy with and once you do find a template you like if you want to go with black and gold colors, I know you can customize that. Happy designing! :)

  7. ...well, this one is looking quite snazzy, Renee! Loving the contrast of the gold and black. Are you liking this one?

Sorry you were having difficulty finding the customization of the last template. I had to search for it when I did my last design re-make also. Needless to say, HTML coding and I ARE NOT friends. :/

    1. Thank you, Rissi! I love the look of this one so much but I can't get the scrolly thing at the top to work AT ALL. I will have to work on it more tomorrow. I really hope I can fix it so I can keep this look!
