My Thoughts:
Who would have thought that this Austen loving, regency romance reading gal would count Ronie Kendig's 21st century military suspense novels among my all-time favorite stories. Each and every time I've picked up one of her novels, it's been nothing short of an exciting, fast-paced, dangerous thrill ride. I dare you to put her books down -- I know I can't!


The latest military thriller from the pen of Ms. Kendig, Raptor 6, features a new Special Forces team of men who will steal your heart before you can say, "hoorah"! From the Hindu Kush to Majorca, Raptor 6 follows Dean Watters and his team of specialized operatives as they try to find out who's feeding the enemy secrets dangerous to the American forces and rescue an American woman being held captive by terrorists before it's too late.

Each and every page is nothing short of breath-taking. From the heat of the Afghan air to the bark of a MWD on the job, no detail is overlooked. Has Ronie been overseas on the battlefields herself? I'm beginning to think so, she writes with such accuracy and finesse. Even though I myself haven't experienced combat or extreme danger, I felt an immediate connection with Dean Watters and his men. Still "Watters" do indeed run deep. ;-) That said, this series is one that will appeal to both men and women, there's something for everyone. Action, intrigue, and of course, romance. Would this girl read any story that didn't have a little room for luuuuv?  Nope. Trust me when I say this is one of the best modern suspense fiction books that I've read and Ronie Kendig remains at the top of my must-read author's list.
