Waiting on Wednesday: The Colonel's Lady by Laura Frantz

Jill over @
Breaking the Spine hosts a weekly meme that features one book that you can't wait to be released! Be sure to visit Jill's site to see what she and other readers can't wait to get their hands on.

This week's pick is from the pen of Christian fiction writer, Laura Frantz. I love the lush settings, drama and of course romance in her previous books and I'm sure I will once again be swept away by her upcoming book The Colonel's Lady. I hope you are too! This is a 2011 "Must Read" I'm sure!

From the publisher:
In 1779, when genteel Virginia spinster Roxanna Rowan arrives at the Kentucky fort commanded by Colonel Cassius McLinn, she finds that her officer father has died. Penniless and destitute, Roxanna is forced to take her father's place as scrivener. Before long, it's clear that the colonel himself is attracted to her. But she soon realizes the colonel has grave secrets of his own--some of which have to do with her father's sudden death. Can she ever truly love him?

I haven't yet read Courting Morrow Little (I know!), but I'm planning to read it over Thanksgiving break, and I loved The Frontiersman's Daughter!
