Book Review: Cleopatra's Daughter by Michelle Moran
Crown Publishers
My Review: Cleopatra's Daughter is a wonderful story of Selene and Alexander, twins whose father and mother were the famed Marc Antony and Cleopatra, growing up in Rome in the household of Octavian. It follows the first 5 years of the siblings in Rome.
This book has great details. I would never have thought that children, even royalty would have such educations by the age of 10...but then again when the average life expectancy was 30 years, time wasn't wasted. As for the scenery in the book, it's breathtaking! Michelle describes it so well it's like I was at the baths, watching a trial, or at the circus! This was such a great story I couldn't put it down! I think both teens and adults will like this book...especially those who love history!
