Wedding Week Final Day: Music (A giveaway too!)

In trying to find books that fit with my wedding theme I remembered my favorite romantic comedy series from earlier this year, the Weddings by Bella series by Janice Thompson. Not only is the main character a wedding planner but throughout the entire series there's a debate within the Rossi family of who's the best crooner, Frank Sinatra or Dean Martin? To me that's like asking a mother to pick a favorite child! The series is a blast though and Fools Rush In centers around Bella trying to find the perfect music/deejay for a wedding that she is coordinating. Especially for that first dance as husband and wife that everyone will remember!

The music has to be perfect for that first dance. ;-)

So here's a peek at Book 1 in the Weddings by Bella series, Fools Rush In!

From the publisher:
Ever wonder how Italian sounds with a Southern drawl?

Bella Rossi's life is just starting to get interesting. When her Italian-turned-Texan parents hand over the family wedding-planning business, Bella quickly books a Boot-Scootin' wedding that would make any Texan proud. There's only one catch--she doesn't know a thing about country music. Where will she find a deejay on such short notice who knows his Alan Jackson from his George Strait? And will Bella ever get to plan her own wedding?

Fun, fresh, and full of surprises, this flavorful combination of Italian and Tex-Mex highlights the hilarity that ensues when cultures clash.

To celebrate the conclusion of my unofficial wedding week I'm giving away a gently read copy of A Tailor-Made Bride by Karen Witemeyer (not really wedding themed but it has "bride" in the title so we'll make it work.)

All you have to do is be a U.S. resident and leave a comment telling me your favorite thing about weddings! Please include your email address in your comment so I can contact you if you're the winner. Contest ends Friday, August 13th at 11:59pm.

Thank you all so much for all your comments during my wedding week celebration! Love ya!

  1. How fun! I haven't read the Weddings by Bella series, but I've heard good things about it. :)

And thanks so much for doing a giveaway! I've been wanting to read A Tailor-Made Bride, so here's hoping... ;)

I confess I haven't really been to many weddings, but hopefully that will change soon now that I'm in college, right? ;) I guess the best part would be the knowledge that two people were about to start on a journey together "for better or for worse," hopefully full of love and commitment. :)

And I'm sure all of the beautiful clothes and decorations would be grand, too! In fact, I'm sure there are lots of wonderful parts to weddings (including food and music!). It's so hard to pick! ;)

Thanks again for a fun week, Renee!

  2. My favorite thing about weddings is seeing the love of two people ready to make a commitment to love, honor, and cherish each other . . . forever. It brings back memories of my own wedding, and a sense of romance.

    Thank you for the giveaway!

  17. My first comment was a bit selfish...but I just had to say that. One of my favorite parts is when the bride and groom first catch sight of each other when the bride is coming down the aisle and their faces absolutely light up. The Bella series sounds wonderful, and I look forward to the chance to read Tailor Made Bride. Thank you.
