From the publisher:
By virtue of her profession as a midwife, Tabitha Eckles is the keeper of many secrets. Dominick Cherrett is a man with his own secret to keep: namely, why he, a British aristocrat, is on American soil working as an indentured servant.

In a time when relations between America and England rest on the edge of a knife, Tabitha and Dominick cross paths, leading them on a journey of intrigue, threats, public disgrace, and . . . love. But can Tabitha trust Dominick? Finding true love seems impossible in a world set against them.

With stirring writing that draws you directly into the story, Lady in the Mist takes you on the thrilling ride of love's discovery.

My Review:
I've seen this author's books in the past but I don't believe they were full length novels so when I saw the pretty cover for this book and I realized it was a full length story about a midwife I had to read it. From the very beginning I knew this would not be a let down. From the misty dunes of the Virginia shore to the joy's of new life, not a detail was spared. The triumphs and trials of a midwife are laid out so beautifully one can't help but feel every emotion in their soul. It is so amazing to me how a midwife's reputation as a lady was often more important than her actual skills in the birthing room. Lady in the Mist is a great story that's quite a bit different from most Christian historical romances that I've read. The mystery and murder make it a tad darker and give it a more serious tone which I find most refreshing!
