I like this cover. With the dark clover background those yellow roses really pop!

ReplyDeleteThanks Juju! :-)
ReplyDeleteXOXO~ Renee
I hope this turns out to be the final cover b/c it's GORGEOUS!!!! I can't wait to read Emma and Sean's story....*happy sigh* :o)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful cover! I love it. I'm looking forward to this one too.
ReplyDeleteOh, I love this cover!! Cannot wait to read it!
ReplyDeleteLove this cover! However, I do miss how on the Daughters of Boston series, we got to see pictures of the guys too. :)
ReplyDelete@ Christy- This was the cover that was on Revell's site so I'm thinking it's the final cover! I was waiting till it popped up there before I posted because I know Julie didn't want the cover she sent in her newsletter posted b/c it wasn't the final.
ReplyDelete@ Joy and Michelle- I was ready to read this the day I finished A Hope Undaunted LOL
XOXO~ Renee
Hahaha Sara I agree with you on that especially that Colin! ;-)
ReplyDeleteXOXO~ Renee
The cover is pretty - but she seems a little... stiff. I thought the one in Julie's newsletter was softened some and looked better that way. The model, colors and dress are very pretty though. I also agree with everyone that I would love to see the hero. :o)
ReplyDeleteI love that cover!
ReplyDeleteReading Lark's WOW
RENEE!!! Boy, are you on the ball or what??? Revell didn't even tell ME what the final cover was going to be or that they had posted it on their website!!!
ReplyDeleteI like the cover, but I have to agree with Lee that Emma still looks a little stiff, but I don't have the final word on things like that and I'm certainly not the professional when it comes to book covers or what will attract readers, so I defer to Revell every time.
Thanks to everybody who complimented the cover -- I appreciate it, although like so many of my readers, I can't help but think I'd like to see Luke, Sean or Steven's face on a cover too ... ;) But ... I do plan to include the model I pictured Sean to look like in my next newsletter, which comes out in May, so maybe you can imagine that picture when you're reading AHR, which, by the way, is shirtless!! :)
Hugs,
Julie
Omw! Renee, how did you get the cover so soon?!?!?! I love the model, but I gotta agree with the rest of y'all, she looks like a deer in headlight, but with a less scared look. I can't wait for this to come out and sept. seems like an eternity from now. And I wish we could get a glimpse of what the men of the o'connor clan look like, but I can imagin them, without much effort. Lol Well, I'm off snowborading for the next couple hours....pray for me!
ReplyDeleteLee, I actually like this cover better than the last one, something about that hair didn't sit right with me LOL but you're right, she does look "stiff."
ReplyDeleteAndrea, thanks for stopping by to check it out! :-)
Julie, I'm so glad you stopped by! I can't believe that Revell doesn't let their own authors know that their covers are up. Oh well at least you got a nice surprise right?
Ashley, I'll admit I saw a Tweet from Bethany House Publishers that all the Baker Publishing groups had their fall releases and covers posted on their respective sites! No insider info here LOL!
XOXO~ Renee
This promises to be an emotional story. I found you on Wow and am sticking around to follow.

Thanks for sharing this, Renee! It's a gorgeous cover! I like how everything goes together so beautifully; the dress, the green background with the black vignette, the roses, the swirls around the title . . . I love it all! :D
ReplyDeleteOne thing I notice in this final cover is ... I don't have the books with me, but wasn't one side of Emma's face scarred from grease burns or something? It doesn't seem like her face is marred at all ... then again, that event would have been at least ten years previous. Unless she's using make up to cover it?
ReplyDeleteThanks Beth for the follow, I hope you like it here!
ReplyDeleteMichelle, I think the background is actually my favorite part!
Lady Dragonkeeper, I believe you are correct but every book that I've ever read with a scarred heroine hasn't actually shown her scars. It's probably has something to do with marketing, I'm not sure though. Great question!
XOXO~ Renee
That's true, Renee. Come to think of it, other than fantasy/sci-fi books (where battle scars or such would be appropriate), I can't really think of book covers that would feature "blemished" main characters ... especially since it's a historical romance ...
