So Sad :(

Chances are unless you live under a rock that you know the Steelers lost to the Packers in the Super Bowl. Needless to say that means a lot of people, myself included, will be going to bed a little sad tonight. I know it's only a game but it still gets me in the gut when "my boys" lose. Did I mention the halftime show was kinda awful???! And too top it all off the commercials this year weren't even that good! I did enjoy a few including the NFL commercial featuring classic tv shows wearing NFL gear and like last year, I enjoyed the Bridgestone tire commercials. Soooo to brighten everyone up a bit I've posted my faves and a few of Coco's too!

This is an ad for the Chevy Volt that I featured because it had a collie in it AND Jimi Hendrix!

Coco wanted me to feature this ad, I don't drink but this is a pretty funny commercial!

This was just cool because it brought back so many memories!

And this one is just cute!

What were your faves?

  4. Sweetie, whenever my Tigers play, I always refer to them as "my boys"...and it's the worst when they lose! :o( Sorry your boys lost...I was rooting for them all the way (better than rooting for some cheeseheads)!

The Darth Vader commercial got first place at our house, and second place would probably go to the Doritos commercial with the pug. One of our dogs is an almost pug, so I know she approved! ;o)

  5. I liked the Darth Vader commercial, too cute.

It stinks that the Steelers lost, though.

  6. LOL, I will admit to living under that rock, since the only channel we get is NBC and they didn't host the Bowl. So sorry your team lost. :( Hopefully next year. :)

  7. I liked the little Darth Vader. I thought the halftime show stunk. I feel okay though. There's always next year!

  8. I agree, the commercials weren't that great - and I'm sorry about the Steelers... It looked like they were going to come back and win there for a while. The penalties really lost the game for them. :o(

  9. Angie and Casey, I hope I didn't offend you with the "living under a rock" thing. I forget that not everyone is a football fan like I am! We're immersed in football in this area so it's easy to forget that others out there aren't crazy football fans! I love ya girls!

Joey and Carol- I know you're both huge Steeler fans from your blog so I guess we're all suffering today. :-( DEFINITELY going to get 'em next year though! :-)

Renee, Juju, Lee, and Christy thanks for thinking of me! I'm kinda sad not only that they lost but that there's no more foootball until training camp in late summer!!!

    XOXO~ Renee

  11. I loved the Volt one because it was retro-ish :)
The Bridgestone beaver and the Budlight dogs were my other favs too!

In short if it's old fashioned, has animals, kids, or old people - I love it.

    I.e. Darth ROCKED :)

  12. Don't worry, Renee, you didn't offend me with the living under a rock thing. :) Because when it comes to football I pretty much do live under a rock. ;)
