Super Bowl Ads: 2013

Image
Chances are that you've all seen or at least heard of some of the best, most popular Super Bowl ads by now. I don't know about you but I know they're the only reason why I watched the big game last night. I couldn't have cared less if the Ravens or the 49ers won but the commercials were worth watching. Some of the tweets from companies like Nabisco (Oreo) and State Farm taking advantage of the "Super Bowl Black Out" were amusing too. All in all it was worth spending a Sunday watching a team I loathe (come on I'm a Steelers fan, did you really think I could root for the Ravens?) just to get a few good laughs or in a couple cases a good cry. Some were cringe-worthy, here's looking at you GoDaddy and Beck's Sapphire . Bleh.   Below are my favorites. What did you think of the ads? Did any of your favorites make the list? These are the ones that got the belly laughs at my house.. . Doritos- Goat 4 Sale (I had nightmares about a screaming goat.) ...

Best Commercial Ever!!!!

Okay it's no secret that I love my Pittsburgh Steelers and it's pretty widely known that Troy Polamalu is the spokesperson...errr spokeshair for Head and Shoulders . What you may not know is that Brett Keisel, popular Steelers defensive end is known in the 'Burgh and throughout Steeler Nation for his playoff (now permanent) beard. He even has a t-shirt available depicting his rather ferocious look. Well apparently Head and Shoulders thought that Brett was giving Troy a run for his money in the luscious hair department and decided to take advantage by making this commercial. If you don't at least giggle while watching this you might want to have someone check your pulse...just sayin'. Don't you love it? Come on admit it or do I have to call you a lyin' fool? Hehehe. ;-)

It's Not Christmas Until...

I see the Eat 'n Park Christmas tree commercial! Ever since I can remember the regional restaurant Eat 'n Park , known for their yummy buffet and smiley cookies has had the same Christmas commercial. There are no funky characters and no words till the very end but if you watch it you will know why I love it. If you grew up in the Pittsburgh area, I think no matter how old you are you will always look forward to seeing this commercial around Christmas time. Merry Christmas!!!

Funny, Black 'n Gold Style!

Even if you're not a Pittsburgh Steelers fan chances are you've seen the Head and Shoulders commercial featuring Troy Polamalu with "thicker looking hair" and laughed out loud. Well today I found the newest commercial and I gotta say it's pretty good! I'm just hoping that nobody decides to look for the "Polamolecules" by putting shampoo in their eye...ouch!

I have always loved Sesame Street and Grover will always be one of my favorite monsters! Check out this totally cute video spoofing the famous Old Spice commercial! Soooo cute!

Cute Commercial!

You guys all know that I love Collie dogs (just check out my profile pic) and when I saw this commercial for J.G. Wentworth I was so excited! The Collie looks almost exactly like my Collie, Coco....I always wondered what she did while I was away, now I know! I have to say the Collie is the only interesting part of the commercial...the rest is well, rather cheesy. What do you think?
