Wedding Week Final Day: Music (A giveaway too!)

Image
In trying to find books that fit with my wedding theme I remembered my favorite romantic comedy series from earlier this year, the Weddings by Bella series by Janice Thompson. Not only is the main character a wedding planner but throughout the entire series there's a debate within the Rossi family of who's the best crooner, Frank Sinatra or Dean Martin? To me that's like asking a mother to pick a favorite child! The series is a blast though and Fools Rush In centers around Bella trying to find the perfect music/deejay for a wedding that she is coordinating. Especially for that first dance as husband and wife that everyone will remember! The music has to be perfect for that first dance. ;-) So here's a peek at Book 1 in the Weddings by Bella series, Fools Rush In ! Wedding Week: Food!

Image
In continuing with my unofficial Wedding Week I've decided that food needs to be featured. Let's face it food is pretty important, who wants hungry guests at their wedding? In my experience lack of food leads to crankiness and chaos, nobody wants that at their wedding. :-P So thanks to Juju @ Tales of Whimsy I found a cute new book by Christian fiction author Sandra Bricker, Always the Baker, Never the Bride that fits perfectly with today's theme, wedding food! I've also included the recipe for White Chocolate Ritz Cracker Cookies that are oh so yummy and really easy to make! Enjoy! **************************** Always the Baker Never the Bride by Sandra Bricker Copyright 2010 Abingdon Press ISBN: 9781426707629 Christian fiction/Romance From the publisher: Thirty-six-year-old Emma Rae Travis has been baking specialty cakes and melt-in-your-mouth pastries at The Backstreet Bakery in historic Roswell, just outside of Atlanta, for the last six years. Wedding on Wednesday!

Image
Instead of the usual Waiting on Wednesday post I decided to continue with yesterdays Wedding post by sharing wedding themed books all week long! So today I'll share one of my favorites from Christian fiction author, Kaye Dacus entitled Stand In Groom , book 1 in the Brides of Bonneterre series. One of the first steps besides setting the date is planning a wedding! A lot of folks like to plan their big days themselves and some hire wedding planners. Below are two of my favorite fictional wedding planners, Anne Hawthorne from the book Stand in Groom and Mary Fiore (played by Jennifer Lopez) from the film, The Wedding Planner ! ************************************************* Here's the blurb from the publisher and a link to order it from Amazon (I get no commission if you do, I just provide the link to make it easy for you). Weddings and Romance!

Image
I'm not getting married but my cousin did Saturday and it has put me in the wedding mood! I have always loved weddings but I've only attended a few in my life (FYI: I've never caught the bouquet). To me, as a true romantic, weddings are always special no matter if they're elopements or big fancy shindigs, as long as there is love shining from the couples hearts everything else doesn't matter so much. There was definitely a lot of love in the air Saturday. July 31st must have been "the day," hey even Chelsea Clinton tied the knot! Below I've featured some miscellaneous wedding stuff that I like besides the romance of it all, including some things from my cousins wedding Saturday! ********************** The Songs : Bride and Grooms first dance, Leather and Lace by Stevie Nicks and Don Henley And my personal favorite, the bridal party dance: All I Ask of You from The Phantom of the Opera The dress : Ok so who doesn't love a pretty dress and too me no...
