God gives Hosea a difficult command-marry a prostitute in order to show God’s people the nature and depth of His love for Israel. When Hosea goes to Israel to proclaim the Lord’s message, the woman God directs him to marry turns out to be his childhood friend Gomer. A Story of Passion: Love's Sacred Song by Mesu Andrews

Image
Love's Sacred Song by Mesu Andrews Copyright 2012 Revell Books ISBN: 9780800734084 My Thoughts: Have you ever been to Jerusalem? I have. Have you ever been to the palace of a king? I have. Have you ever experienced life of a shepherdess? I have and it was all through Mesu Andrews' book, Love's Sacred Song an expanding of the life and love of biblical King Solomon and Arielah his best-loved wife. Even if you have never read the Song of Solomon I think you will find  Love's Sacred Song  to be a gripping story of raw emotion and most importantly flawed characters whose faith-filled lives are anything but perfect and far from easy. Brimming with palace intrigue, politics, clashing of religions, and the unrest among the women of Solomon's harem there is something to capture everyone's attention and really get you thinking about faith and life in ancient times. I can't even begin to imagine the luxuriousness of Solomon's palace but Mesu paints a vivi...

Wow it is so hard to believe that I have been blogging for THREE WHOLE YEARS! It's with sheer disbelief that I have almost 300 followers when I didn't think I'd even get to ten. I've met so many great bloggers and reader friends willing to dish and discuss books with that I could probably talk all day  for a whole year with a different one each day and still have friends left over. I don't know where I'd be without your encouragement and willingness to stick with me even when I get blogger's block! I love finding a great book and learning about the authors who write them so I figured there would be no better way to celebrate than sharing some great authors with you! Throughout this week, starting tomorrow, I will be hosting an author friend I'd like you to meet. Sandra Bricker and her dog Sophie have been here before but Sandie has a book coming out this month and I just had to have her tell you all about it! I have some brand new friends to intro...
