Meet Debut Novelist Keli Gwyn & Enter to Win A Bride Opens Shop in El Dorado, California

Image
It's not everyday that you get to follow an author on their journey from wannabe writer to published novelist and beyond so it's pretty cool to follow along with Keli Gwyn as she travels the path to publication and beyond via her blog. When I first started following other bloggers who read and reviewed Christian fiction I never thought I'd get to meet so many cool authors and Keli definitely qualifies as a "cool" author. I've told her over and over again that I'm probably almost as excited about A Bride Opens Shop in El Dorado, California , as she is so I'm thrilled to have her as a guest to give us the latest scoop on her book and what's happening in her life. So sit back, relax, and feel free to say hi to Keli in the comments section as I'm sure she'll be stopping by. ...and now here's Keli! ~ Hi Keli! Since a lot of people might not know you as a published author can you please tell us a bit about yourself?   Thanks for hosti...

Interview with Author Linda Yezak + Giveaway!

Image
I had the pleasure of reading and reviewing author Linda Yezak's Christian romance earlier this month and it was a blast! I would love for you to share this fun reading experience so I'm giving you the opportunity to win a signed copy of Give the Lady a Ride! First please join me in welcoming Linda as she tells us a little bit about herself and her writing... ************ Please tell the readers a little bit about yourself. I’m a plain ol’ housewife with a bit of an imagination and a few hours a day I can devote to writing. Everything interests me, which makes researching my projects my favorite part of the writing process. Give the Lady A Ride is about bull-riding among many other things, how much research did you have to do and I think the million dollar question is have you ever ridden a bull? Let me answer the second part first–No. But that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t have tried back when I was younger. That bit I have in the book about women riding bulls is true, and back wh...

Christian Fiction Review + Author Interview: Nightingale by Susan May Warren

Image
Nightingale by Susan May Warren Copyright 2010 Summerside Press 320 pages ISBN: 978-1-60936-025-2 Fiction/General/Romance About the book: Esther Lange doesn’t love her fiancé—she’s trapped in an engagement after a mistaken night of passion. Still, she grieves him when he’s lost in battle, the letters sent to her by the medic at his side giving her a strange comfort, so much that she strikes up a correspondence with Peter Hess, an Iowa farmboy. Or is he? Peter Hess is not who he seems. Indeed, he’s hiding a secret, something that could cost them both their lives, especially when the past comes back to life. A bittersweet love song of the home front war between duty and the heart...a battle where only one will survive. My Review: The Brothers in Arms collection had me right from the start with Sons of Thunder and this book, although very different has captured me as well. Where the faith message was not as overt in Sons of Thunder , Nightingale does not shy away. As for action there is...
