Hello loyal readers and friends, this is just a note to let you know that I will be absent from my blog September 7th - September 14th. I'm taking my annual blogging break to spend time with my family and friends and hopefully catch up on my reading. In the meantime you can be sure I have some fun stuff planned for my return, including a super cool giveaway that I have been teasing on my Facebook page for a while now. Let's just say it's totally different from the giveaways I usually host and it's something both Whovians and fashionistas alike will love. ;-) Curious yet? Hehehe.

I just wanted to let everyone know that June 8-16th I'll be on a blog vacation so there won't be any posts from me...I know, I know, what WILL you do? In the meantime if you're looking for some great blogs to read please check out my " Blogs I Love " list at the top of my blog or the "More Blogs I Love" list on the left sidebar and I can guarantee you that you won't miss me at all. The ladies whose blogs I have listed there are pretty darn amazing if I do say so myself! I'm sure they all will post some wonderful book reviews, movie reviews, and recipes that are sure to keep you adding to your reading and to watch lists as well as your waistline while I'm gone. ;-) I hope you all are enjoying the beautiful spring weather and find time for some rest and relaxation like I plan to do this week.

I hope you all enjoyed your long weekend even though I'm sure for most of you it wasn't long enough! Did you go on picnics with your friends and families, travel, or go on a short staycation? This year for the Labor Day holiday we picnicked however we didn't have a traditional picnic with hotdogs, hamburgers and baked beans. We decided to do something a little different for summer's last hoorah. We made Mountain Pies! I'm sure some of you are wondering "What in the world is a Mountain Pie?" but if you've ever camped out or been to summer camp or are just sort of a country girl like me you probably know that they can be made of just about anything! What's cool about making a Mountian Pie is that it is sooo simple and the cook time is a couple of minutes at most. We used special Mountain Pie makers like the one pictured below. You can do dessert pies, sandwich pies or whatever! We made mountain pie pizza using bread, butter, pizza sauce, shredd...

Hey Everyone! I'm finally back from vacation so you can start looking for more reviews and fun posts from me starting late tomorrow! I have a bunch of reviews to post this week and so far each book I have read has been terrific so if you're looking for summer reading suggestions, stop back. I had a blast on vacation. I went for a ride on a 19th century replica sailboat, drank the most awesome triple berry smoothie, and saw the cutest baby ducks while waiting for the ferry as we headed back home. I don't have pictures yet but I hope to share some with you in the next few weeks. This is just a note to let you all know that from now until June 12th I won't be doing much blogging! I'm going to the Outer Banks again this year. I will probably take a few books with me in hopes that I can get a few read and review them on here when I get back. I already know that I will be posting reviews of Homecoming by Dan Walsh, Seeds of Summer by Deborah Vogts, Love on a Dime by Cara Lynn James, and Ransome's Crossing by Kaye Dacus so if you're interested in reading about those books, check back. Wheewww I'm back from the beach!! It seems like I've been away from my blog for ages!!! It has been 10 days!! Since I left the beach at 3:30AM this morning I won't be doing a book review today...I'm just waaaayyyy too exhausted! I'll be back up and running full speed tomorrow with more reviews! By the way...I totally didn't read ANYTHING while I was at the beach! Yeah I know right?! I took 8 books and didn't get to start on one!!!! For starters it was over 90 degrees most of the time so I stayed in the water and when I wasn't in the water I was in the car and I get VERY carsick if I read sooooo ...yeah you get the picture! I don't think I'll be going on vacation again this summer so check back often for new book reviews and updates! Happy Summer, -Renee

Hello all, I'm sorry I neglected to tell yinz guys (I'm from Southwestern Pennsylvania so I'm allowed to use " Pittsburghese ") that I'll be out of town until June 8 th sooooo I won't be able to keep up my blog this week! June is going to be a very busy month for me, as the weekend of June 20 th I'll be leaving again for a week, but this time for a relaxing vacation at OBX !!! Woohoo !!! I will be posting some reviews next week so be sure to look for those! I'm not sure what books they will be but I'm hoping they'll be terrific reads! Plus, when I return from OBX I'm sure I'll have a few more reviews to post as I'll be reading while I'm working on my tan...errr...well sunburn :-P So look for me then!
