My Blogaversary Giveaway!
WOW! I am sooo excited to be kicking off my One Year Blogaversary Celebration this week! It's going to be tons of fun! It just so happens that my blogaversary nearly coincides with my 100th book review which I posted last week! Originally I was going to give away a brand new hardcover copy of The Yellow House by Patricia Falvey to celebrate my One Year of Blogging but since I've reached that special 100th book review, I've decided to add an "extra."
That extra is...
Beguiled by Deeanne Gist and J. Mark Bertrand (my review)!!!!!!
So if you would like to be entered to win both The Yellow House and Beguiled all you have to do is...
~Leave a comment telling me why you like birthdays, anniversaries, or any other kind of special celebration!
~You MUST leave an email address in your comment so I can contact you for your mailing address if you win!
~U.S. residents only please!
~Contest open until March 21, 2010 at 11:59PM EST.
~One winner will be chosen, their name posted on this blog, and they will be notified by email on March 22, 2010 and will have 48 hours to respond or another winner will be selected.

I LOVE birthdays because of the fun, usually surrounding it. Plus I love gifts. LOL!
Happy Blogaversary!! I like anniversaries because they allow you to look back and reflect on special moments and times in our lives. My favorite anniversary would, of course, be my wedding anniversary.ReplyDelete
One word... CAKE!ReplyDelete
Happy Blogaversary and Congratulation on your 100th book review~ReplyDelete
The mail reason I love celebrating birthdays because babies are a gift from God, and they deserve be celebrated.
As far as anniversaries etc., a year of success for anything, especially marriage, is a wonderful accomplishment and should be celebrated.
Happy Blogaversary! Way to go! Congratulations! Thank you for a great giveaway!ReplyDelete
I love to celebrate birthdays because I think everyone should be made to feel that they are special. A cake, a card, a little gift or two, even a casual party, is not really much trouble. The smile makes it all worthwhile : )

I like birthdays and anniversaries because they give us a chance to celebrate and commemorate.
Well, you don't have to worry about me being competition to the Steelers like the Browns. I'm from Michigan-the Lions-need I say more? A wonderful celebration for us in Michigan would be to see the Lions go to the Superbowl and WIN! Okay, have I mentioned my rose-colored glasses???? Congrats on your one-year celebration! Once you're done celebrating, come by for a visit! http://lindaglaz.blogspot.com/ReplyDelete

Great giveaway! I love all celebrations, they are perect reminders to be grateful for things in life. I am nearing 40 and still get excited about my own birthday. Cake! And who doesn't love feeling valued on a special day each year?ReplyDelete
I love birthday and anniversaries as they are special days to be celebrated special. Last year was a big one for my hubby and our life group met every other Tuesday night and his birthday was a Tuesday (not the one that we were going to meet on). Well, asked the group leader if we could make it that night. That worked and we had it at the club house as a pot luck and surprised him with birthday cake. So much fun!ReplyDelete

Congrats on your 1-yr. blogaversary! I'm a new follower and fellow Steeler's fan...and enjoying your blog. I've always enjoyed birthdays, age is just a number and who doesn't love cake & ice cream? I also love to read and would love to read the books in your giveaway. Please enter my name in it. Thank you!ReplyDelete
Birthdays are great! Cake is a given, but I love throwing birthday parties for others! It's fun to do themes or whatever. I just like making it special for people who are important to me and seeing the joy they get...especially if it's a surprise party! Those are the best!ReplyDelete
Hi! I love birthdays, anniversarys and any celebration. I love to celebrate life and any special moments or joy for people. Mostly I love buying people gifts. For me, I rather do that for a person than have them get me a gift. You know, just giving someone something thoughtful. Plus who don't love food and music. I know I do :) Hey, maybe a little too much :)ReplyDelete
BTW I'm a follower.
Happy blogoversary! I love celebrations because its a time we get to spend with family!ReplyDelete
I love my families birthdays because it is a way to minister to them by planning special surprises. I like to make the whole day dedicated to my family member from a themed breakfast to family activities.ReplyDelete
I like birthdays and anniversary's cause that's the time of year hubby & I focus on just ourselves, without kids, and go to dinner and a movie. Hubby actually goes to a chick flic with me and loves it. We went to see `Dear John` for his birthday. It was so cool!
I love the gifts, cake and ice cream, and best of all, friends.ReplyDelete
I love to celebrate, especially the milestone bd's and anniversaries. The best is a surprise party. When hubby turned 40, I was going to school. We had a birthday cake for supper. I baked another for later that night when I got home from school. I had invited friends over to celebrate. My son and I let him answer the doorbell. Was he ever shocked!ReplyDelete
it's nice to be the center of attention for one day (or at least for one hour on that day).

Hi, I love to celebrate because it gives me a chance to share my love and caring for special family members & friends. Without these people in my life, I'd not have near the happiness I do now. :)ReplyDelete
Firstly, my husband has two Mustangs 1965 and 1966. His twin brother is a Steelers fan. I feel like you're some lost relative... :O)ReplyDelete
Planning my kids birthdays is always fun. Having that adrenaline rush of fun and planning and then pulling it off and then collapsing after knowing everyone had a great time is worth it.

Hahaha Estrella! Sounds like you have some smart men in your family, Mustangs AND Steelers fans?! Awesome!ReplyDelete
Thank you for stopping by to enter! :-)
I like birthdays because it is a fun time celebrating with the birthday person! I'd love to be entered into the contest!ReplyDelete
I think it makes a lot more exciting when we have something to look forward to. I have to say that I'm not so happy to see the birthdays rolling around now that I'm 55. Of course it is better for them to roll around than to not roll around. LOLReplyDelete
Ooops ... forgot to put my name in the hat for Deeanne's book! Thanks for the opportunity, Renee!ReplyDelete
Woo Julie you just got in under the wire LOL!ReplyDelete
